A latest study from UK suggests that about 6,000 middle aged or old women develop cancer every year here in UK because of being obese or overweight. The study that looked at 45000 cases of cancer among 1m women in the last seven years, says this is about 5 percent of such cases (Via BBC NEWS UK).
This study blamed extra weight for 50 percent of womb cancer and type of oesophageal cancer cases. The study warned that having extra weight could increase the risk of cancer. According to the stats 23 percent of all women in England are obese and 34 percent are overweight.
