I have been going through weight loss process. And what I feel is that we have to really work hard and hard to lose the unwanted pounds. We had never thought that the weigh we are gaining is going to be too much tough to lose. But we have to be positive and motivated to lose the extra pounds, which we have gained without any effort. People who who are going for fast weight loss are just looking for temporary solution to their weight loss problem. We need to lose weight in such a fashion that we do nt get it back after few months or years. Obesity problem is getting bigger and bigger in US

According to a latest study, obesity problem in US is getting worse as more and more Americans are getting obese. There is no single state in US, which is showing some, or little improvement in solving this epidemic like growing problem of obesity. Percentage of obese people is increasing quite speedily and people who are doing exercising are also getting lesser.


Americans are fatter than ever, with obesity rates up in most states and fewer people exercising, according to a study released on Monday. Center and state Government, schools and individuals will have to make combined efforts to solve this ever growing problem of obesity.


Rate of obesity among adult goes beyond 25 percent in 19 states in US. The group advocates that we all need to make collective efforts to fight the obesity problem in US where 60 percent of adults are either obese or overweight.


This would include changes in laws, including mandates on school lunches, requiring insurers to pay for weight loss programs and restoring physical education programs to schools (From Yahoo News).

Overweight kids miss school more study finds

According to a recent study, obese kids miss their schools more as compared to their normal weight peers. Obese kids misses an average of 12 days in a school year that are two more days as compared to their healthy friends missed in a year according to the research that was published in the august issue of obesity (From HealthDay).


This study was carried on 1069 school children of forth, fifth and sixth grade which were kept in three categories namely underweight, normal weight, overweight and obese. These children teachers kept a record of their attendance during the whole year.


This is the first even study that suggests that reducing the rate of obesity among kids will improve their attendance in the school and also benefits their studies.

Including sufficient amount of fat in children diet

We as a patents have to care about our children obesity as well as our own obesity problem. Most of the parents love to offer low fat diets to their children as a way to save them from getting obese. But according to a latest research from US says that children should not be deprived of the fat they needed to grow.


Children have the ability to burn more calories as compared to the younger people. So parents should not worry about the risk of childhood obesity and provide their kids the sufficient amount of fat to their children's.


Around one third of children energy intake must come from fats. Researchers state that children should be given the sufficient amount of fat in their diets for their normal growth and development (From BBC NEWS).

How to lose weight without losing any money

losing weight without spending money For most of the guys losing weight means losing high amount of money that they have to spend for buying some healthy food for them or joining a gym. We can save all of the money that we spend in a gym just by increasing our level of activity at home. When we go to a gym, we have to waste at least one or two hours in commuting to the gym and our preparation for the gym.


So we need to increase our level of activity by getting involved in more house works and spending more time with friends. This way we will be able to save lots of time and money as well. Here is the list of activities that we can include in our daily life as a way to lose weight and save some money as well as which we may have to spend on gym etc



  • Spending more time in your lawn or garden

    Spending some time in the garden by cutting the grass, doing the cleaning work and taking care of your trees is a good idea to save money and which you may have to spend in hiring a gardener.



  • Doing the house cleaning work

    You can do a lot of cleaning work at home like dusting, washing the clothes, hanging them, washing the car, moving heavy objects from one place to another and many more. So this way you will be able to keep your self-active and will be able to save some money, which you may have to give to your servant.



  • Using the bike more often

    Avoid driving the car and prefer bike driving which is a good workout for you and will help you in saving some money. You can drive the bike to your office or to your friend’s house.



  • Walk to the market

    Do not drive to the near by market or store. It is a great work out, as you have to walk a lot in going and coming back.



  • Playing with friends

    Have fun and useful physical activity by playing outdoor games like football, volleyball, tennis and dancing with your friends.

Couple loses 580 pounds on a faith based weight loss program

Before marriage Maggie Sorrells was 440 pounds and her husband Franklin much bigger than her with 505 pounds. After their marriage in August 2002, couple decided to change their lives and lose some extra pounds.

Parent’s depression can have ill effect on children weights

According to the researchers at University of Florida, parent’s depression and their high level of stress can have bad impact on the quality of their children life and their effort to lose weight also suffer to some extent.


It becomes really difficult for the children to go for a healthy lifestyle when their parents are too much distress and depressed. Nursing the depressed parents can be the best way to help children.


Children need their parents support when they have to make life style changes as a way to lose weight. But when the parents themselves are struggling, it becomes really difficult for them to support he overweight children needs to go ahead with the healthy lifestyle and exercise programs.

According to a study conducted by Scientists at Aberdeen on 42 couples, when people make a choice for their partner, they take into account various factors like social class, race, height and weight and prefer to chose a love partner that is of their race, social class and of course their body weight.


Scientist found that people of same body fat are more chances of being attracted towards each other. This kind of “Assortive matching” could lead to a worldwide obesity epidemic. Jennifer Liles loses 60 pounds with LA weight loss program

Jennifer Liles LA weight loss Jennifer Liles was able to lose 60 pounds with the help of LA weight loss program. She works as a bartender in a bar at the Mexicali Grill in Santa where she serves drinks to her customers.


By 2005, Liles weighted 191 pounds who is 5.4 inches. She decided to lose some pounds when she went to meet her parents for Thanksgiving. In Nov 2005, She joined LA weight loss center for losing 50 pounds.


She was taught how to eat the center. She was told to maintain a diary to keep track of her eating habits. She was asked to eat a balanced diet with salad, chicken and whole wheat bread. She also carried around a large jug to make sure she drank the recommended 64 ounces of water each day. By April, she was able to lose 60 pounds.


She says, "I've got about seven or eight pounds I need to lose before I do the next commercial," she said.

Fat people too much sluggish says nurses

fat guys too lazy says According to a survey that was conducted recently that includes 400 nurses, found that it is really hard for the obese people to lose weight or they are too much sluggish about losing weight.


50 percent of the nurses think that fat people are too much lazy about losing weight. 45 percent of the nurses believe that the obese people lack the motivation and the ways required to lose weight.


About 54 percent of nurses feel sympathetic about obese people while 4 percent feel it all disgusted. Some of the nurses found it great to help the obese people while 59 percent of nurses felt it is enough to advice obese people about the weight loss way outs.


20 percent of nurses felt it is useless when it comes to helping obese people losing weight. While 19 percent found it embarrassing (From The Sun Online).
