12 Minute fitness test for you

12 minute fitness test will give you an idea of your fitness level. So it is a good idea to go for 12 minute fitness test before starting any exercise program. In this test you have to run for 12 minutes and have to check out how much distance you are able to cover in this time interval.


If you are able to make one mile or more, it means you are in decent shape. And you should feel proud of where you are. Start your exercise program at a more vigorous level if you do well. Do not get sad if you are not able to make around one mile. Most of the people are not able to make it. All what you have to do is start at the speed which is very comfortable to you and increase your speed as your fitness level increases.

How far can you run/walk in 12 minutes is a poor way to measure OVERALL FITNESS. It only measures 2 or possibly 3 of the 10 measures of fitness.
