Weight maintenance

When you have lost the desired weight and are having normal BMI. If you do not know your BMI, get it from Know if you need to lose weight. For weight maintenance, you should just continue with the diet with which you have lost your weight. Your diet should include 30% proteins, 30% fat and 40% carbohydrates. You must take enough calories as a way to make your weight constant.

You should keep on with your weight loss exercise and check your weight at least once in a week to make sure that you did not get the weight back. It is always easier to eat healthy diet to keep yourself away from gaining weight than losing it again after you have gained it.

Make a proper time schedule for your exercise and eat a sensible, nutritious diet. Start your physical fitness program by cutting out the junk food, eating a balanced diet with the right nutrients, and exercising moderately for 30 minutes a day. Your mental attitude is the most important part of staying fit.

Some quick tips for weight maintenance

  • Take breakfast regularly

  • Keep on checking your weight (weekly)

  • Exercise daily (at least 30 to 45 minutes)

  • Walking for weight control

  • Follow a balanced diet

  • Calories intake not more than 1400
